Steve Jobs passed away. I'm always sad when someone dies… I guess that's just the normal reaction, to feel that twinge, knowing that someone good is gone.

I think we as technologists, designers and related professionals tend to feel a bit of indebtedness, and rightly so. Steve Jobs really did permeate the world with Apple (as that Palo Alto article mentioned - http://paloalto.patch.com/articles/a-tribute-to-steve-jobs). And the foundation for what he built was Design, with a capital d. Good creative, good planning, lots of inspiration.

His passing makes me personally want to work harder, to compensate (if I can) for what the world is now missing. We all lost a little bit in his passing, and I hope that the rest of Apple, and the rest of the design & technology community, can make up for it. The world needs to be inspired.
